The ministry has noticed growth on farms stating that milk production has increased by 13.8 per cent, said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

"This year we recent data confirms that production has risen by 2.7 per cent which is around an extra 261,000 tons of milk more than the same period last year. In general, all farms produced nearly 10 million tons," said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

The minister also said that the high growth rates observed in milk production put farming households in a favourable position.

The minister added that dairying growth has resulted in a growth in livestock herds.
