Biomin Ukraine at AGRO 2012

UKRAINE - From 5 to 8 September, Biomin Ukraine participated in the 24th International agriculture exhibition ‘Agro 2012’ in Kiev.

This exhibition is the biggest agriculture industry event in Ukraine and gathered over 460 exhibitors from 21 countries this year. The total exhibition area was 30,000 square metres accommodating 19,000 Ukrainian and foreign representatives.

Since AGRO 2012 is organised by the Ministry of agrarian policy and food, government members such as the minister of agrarian policy Mr M. Prysiazhnyk and president Mr V. Yanukovich visited the event.

During the official opening the Ukrainian mentioned that the productivity output has already grown in 15 regions this year. Corn farming is expected to reach levels of 46 millions tonnes. In 2012, the worth of exported agricultural goods amounts to nine billion dollars, which is 15 per cent higher compared to the previous year.

The exhibition covered several areas of the agriculture industry:

  • science
  • crop raising
  • animal breeding
  • food industry
  • animal health
  • agrarian technics and equipment
  • fish industry
  • gardening

Biomin Ukraine exhibited in the animal breeding section where the company introduced several new products to the Ukrainian market such as the acidifier Biotronic® SE Forte liquid, the yeast derivative Levabon® Rumen E and the matrix-encapsulated phytogenic product Digestarom® P.E.P. MGE.
