Export Conference Shines Spotlight on Africa

UK - Prospects for beef and lamb in Africa will come under the spotlight at this year’s EBLEX Export Conference.

The free event – now in its eighth year – will be held at the Arthur Rank Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on 26 June and focus on export opportunities value for beef and lamb in response to increasing global demand for red meat.

Delegates will be able to find out more about growing demand for beef and lamb products in Third Countries, as well as learning more about branding to ensure success. EBLEX will also give an overview of its export activities to date.

The popular event will include presentations on prospects for exports of beef and lamb to a number of markets in Sub-Saharan Africa such as Angola, Ivory Coast, Liberia and South Africa, key developments in France and an update on the Far East.

Jean-Pierre Garnier, EBLEX export manager, said: “Export activity plays a key part in EBLEX’s work and our conference will highlight the important role it can play for producers and processors as the global demand for beef and lamb gathers pace.”
