Brucellosis Identified in Belgium
BELGIUM - After two cases of brucellosis were found on a cattle farm in Belgium, 262 cattle have been culled.

The source of the outbreak is unknown, but epidemiological investigation in on-going. The strain identified is Brucella abortus Biovar 3.
Brucellosis is highly contagious and causes abortion.
