847 Holdings Affected by Schmallenberg

GERMANY - In Germany animals from 847 holdings have been tested positive for the Schmallenberg virus.

To date, the virus has affected 77 cattle holdings, 732 sheep holdings and 38 goat holdings.

States affected are North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Hesse, Schleswig-Holstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Brandenburg, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Hamburg, Bavaria, Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saarland and Berlin.
