Norway has agreed to fully liberalise an additional 20 per cent of EU farm exports from 1 January 2012 - worth €250 million - as part of a bilateral deal signed in April.

Combined with the bilateral trade preferences already in existence, the deal ensures approximately 60 per cent of basic agricultural goods will be able to circulate freely between the EU and Norway.

In terms of dairy, Norway will offer the EU a tariff quota on cheese - set at 2,700 tonnes.
