Arla Farmgate Price Increase
UK - Arla has announced a 1.85 pence per litre (ppl) increase to its base liquid milk contract price from 1 October.

This is exactly the same increase announced by the two other major suppliers to the liquid milk market - Wiseman and Dairy Crest.
However, each of the three processors has taken a slightly different approach to how this increase is structured.
In Arla's case, the base price will increase by 0.85ppl with an additional 0.5ppl bonus for Bactascans under 30K and an extra 0.5ppl bonus for Somatic Cell Counts under 250K.
The Arla-Asda price is being increased by only 1.6ppl, cutting the Asda premium to one ppl.
