Botswana Manages to Contain FMD

BOTSWANA - Botswana reports that it has managed to contain foot and outh disease outbreaks in the country.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 4 yesterday, 18 April.

According to the report, no new outbreaks of FMD have been reported.

The last case was recorded on 22 February 2011. The disease has been contained and is under control. However, control measures are still in place.
