More FMD Outbreaks in Bulgaria

BULGARIA - The Bulgarian veterinary authorities have reported two more outbreaks of foot and mouth disease in buffaloes, cattle, swine and sheep and goats.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 9 yesterday, 6 April.

A total of 72 buffaloes, 21 cattle and 12 pigs showed signs of susceptibility to the disease. All susceptible animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
