More FMD in Chinese Swine

CHINA - The Chinese veterinary authorities have report one more outbreak of foot and mouth disease in swine.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 18 yesterday, 29 March. According to the report, the outbreak took place at a farm in the Xijiang province.

A total of 205 pigs showed signs of susceptibility to the disease, out of which 58 cases and 25 deaths were recorded. 180 animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
