Event organiser Euan Emslie says the new online booking system for trade stand space is working well, with bookings 60 per cent up on the same time last year.

“Trade stands are selling well, with many companies booking extra space compared to previous years. And they’re all finding the unique online booking system simple and quick to use,” he said.

With the event taking place at the Newark and Nottinghamshire Showground, Newark, there is both inside and outside trade stand space available to book. “The facilities at Newark are truly first class and every exhibitor should be able to count on an excellent attendance as the site is easy to access from across the UK, being directly adjacent to the A1.”

This year’s event comes at a critical time for the industry, with many beef farmers looking to refine systems and increase efficiencies after another tough winter, said event chairperson Rachel Gascoine.

“Beef farmers have once again had a hard winter, with feed, fuel and fertiliser prices all rising and forage shortages in some parts of the country exacerbating the problems.

“With that in mind we expect a bumper crowd for Beef Expo 2011 all keen to find ways of improving their businesses profitability. It really is an event that suppliers and associated trade companies in the beef sector cannot afford to miss.”

Trade stand bookings close on 28 February and can be made via the event website or by contacting event organiser Euan Emslie on 01430 441 870
