The ‘Dunbia Supplier Group’ is part of the company’s ongoing agricultural development strategy aimed at building on the solid relationships it already has with its suppliers, and driving efficiencies within the supply chain.

Dunbia said it understands that their farmers are crucial to business operations and this new initiative has been launched to deliver genuine benefits to members.

Members of the Dunbia Supplier Group will benefit from free impartial advice on a series of production based themes as well as being entitled to discounts on a range of business inputs including animal feed, machinery, fallen stock disposal and ear tags.

Speaking at the launch of the Dunbia Supplier Group initiative, Dr Jonathan Birnie, Agricultural Development Manager for Dunbia said: “The Dunbia Supplier Group initiative highlights the value we place on forming successful partnerships with our farmers throughout the UK and Ireland, and underlines our commitment to their growth and development.

To support the Dunbia Supplier Group we have developed a website which will allow greater communication between Dunbia and our suppliers. Through this website farmers will be able to access their weights and grades online, download advice sheets and information booklets, register for upcoming Dunbia events as well as having access to a personal email account. We hope farmers will see the benefit of this initiative from both a development point of view and from the group discounts on offer from major farm inputs. This initiative will allow us to work more closely with farmers, enabling us to further understand and meet their needs, and enabling them to understand ours” he concluded.

Dunbia Supplier Group members throughout the UK and Ireland will receive their information packs and discount cards over the coming months.
