Botswana Vaccinates Cattle Against FMD
BOTSWANA - Botswana's veterinary experts have vaccinated cattle herds against foot and mouth disease.The World Organisation for Animal Health received follow-up report no.3 yesterday, 14 September.
An outbreak of FMD was first observed on 26 July 2010, and later confirmed on 3 August.
Although no new outbreaks have been reported, a total of 349 cattle in the administrative division of Kasane have been vacinated against the disease.
The cause of the outbreak has still not been identified.
