THE NETHERLANDS - A case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) has been found in Zeeland, in the Netherlands.

Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Christianne Bruschke informed the World Organisation for Animal Health yesterday (9th September).
BSE was confirmed on 3rd September. Two cattle have been destroyed.
The source of the outbreak is unknown.
