College Of Ag Faculty Member Named Fulbright Scholar

US - Fulbright Scholar William Joseph Silvia, professor at the University of Kentucky will lecture in Argentina on improving the the reproductive performance of dairy cows.

Recently named a Fulbright Scholar, Mr Silvia will be travelling to Santa Roasa, Argentina from March to May 2010. He will be lecturing at the University of La Pampa.

The Fulbright Programme is sponsored by the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Under a cooperative agreement with the bureau, the Council for International Exchange of Scholars assists in the administration of the Fulbright Scholar Programme for faculty and professionals. Approximately 1,250 US faculty and professionals received Fulbright Scholar or Fulbright Specialist grants to teach and conduct research abroad during the 2009-2010 academic year. More than 50,000 academics and professionals have earned Fulbright grants since the programme's 1947 inception.
