Milk Contract Health Check Meeting
WALES, UK - National Farmers Union (NFU) Cymru has organised a free ‘Contract Health Check’ meeting to all its dairy farming members in Montgomeryshire on Wednesday, 21 October 2009, at the COBRA Rugby Club, Meifod at 7.30pm.Addressing the evening is Hayley Campbell-Gibbons, NFU Chief Dairy Adviser, she said, “This meeting on contract health check will allow a farmer to appraise his contract against the NFU template and get advice to help understand the terms and conditions, and identify areas where improvements could be made.”
Jonathon Wilkinson a local dairy farmer and Montgomeryshire NFU Cymru Milk Board delegate said, “Raw milk contracts are amongst the most important legal documents that dairy farmers sign. This Contract Health Check meeting is designed to help dairy farmers understand the content of their raw milk contract and identify any weaknesses.
“We are very grateful to Hayley Campbell Gibbson for agreeing to come to Montgomeryshire. I hope we will get a good turnout of members and their milk contracts.”
