The large stand will feature three interactive areas, known as “pods”, where visitors can have a very ‘hands on’ experience. These pods will provide up to date information on heifer rearing, milk quality and mobility. There will also be a wealth of information available on other subjects including genetics, market information and School Milk.

So what can visitors expect to experience? One of the interactive features on offer is the bacterial hand swabbing machine on the Milk Quality pod, which will be used to demonstrate just how much bacteria can survive on a person’s hand, even after washing, says DairyCo. There will also be calculators that outline the cost of Mastitison farm, and advice on how cases of Mastitis can be reduced.

Farmers will have access to vets who will be on the stand throughout the Show,to answer any health questions or concerns. There is also an opportunity to take part in a Mastitis Clinic Q&A session, in association with Farmers Guardian. All DairyCo publications will be available to order on the stand, and visitors can sign up to receive all newsletters, including the Datum Update and e-newsletter, DairyCoWWW.

After visiting the DairyCo stand, farmers will take away up to date information and practical tools that will help them to maintain a healthy and profitable herd.DairyCo recognises that by having a strong presence at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show, it has a great opportunity to meet with potentially thousands of dairy farmers and communicate to them world class knowledge that will help them profit from a sustainable future.
