While there are vast tracts of Aboriginal land in the centre, only small portions are staffed and run by Indigenous cattlemen, reported ABCRural.

According to the news agency, pastoral land management officer Kate Crossing says they've already started conducting land management courses for Indigenous people in the region.

"Everyone was really interested about the different types of grasses and looking at the soil and things like that so there is a lot of interest," she told ABC.
