SCOTLAND - With culinary inspiration from Britain’s top chefs, Glasgow gourmets can get their hands on the best raw materials to work with this weekend.

The Scotch Butchers Club, an exclusive group of butchers that sell premium Scotch products, is sponsoring the meat for the cookery theatre at this weekend’s BBC Good Food Show, taking place at the SECC, Glasgow.

The top chefs bringing their culinary skills to the event include Gordon Ramsay, Michael Caines, Nick Nairn, Andrew Fairlie and James Martin.

After they’ve been inspired by the chefs they can then come and buy their own top quality Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork from the Quality Meat Scotland stand.

Top Butchers, Ramsay of Carluke, Dalbeattie Fine Foods and Yorkes of Dundee will be on the stand and will be joined by premium deli-meat specialists Brown Brothers. The butchers will also be supporting the Breast Cancer Campaign’s national fund raising wear it pink day on Friday 31st October by donning specially designed pink aprons and there will be a collection tin on the stand.

The best Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork will be on sale throughout the show as well as award winning sausages, steak pies and haggis, all backed with the gold-plated service and advice you’d expect from your local butcher.
