UK - A new organisation for dairy farm equipment suppliers was launched at the Dairy Event at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire this week.

The Milking Equipment Association will be the representative body for milking equipment manufacturers, suppliers and distributors in the UK.
The aim of the organisation is to promote the interests of its members and to promote best practice and animal health and welfare.
The association will act as a mouthpiece for the industry to put its views to government, local authorities, parliament, the European Commission and European Parliament and other organisations.
One of the first aims of the organisation will be to establish a training scheme to give accreditation for installation and service engineers of milking equipment, said the Director General Roger Lane-Nott.
