Cattle TB Could Cost Wales £30 million a Year
UK - TB in catttle could cost Wales £30 million a year by 2012 if present trends continue, says Rural Affairs Minister Elin Jones.“We believe that the most effective measure to address both sources of infection and cross-infection, subject to strict regulation and meeting a number of requirements, would be a targeted cull of badgers in TB high incidence areas.”
These areas include Gwent, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
