Rosselkhoznador said that 31 consignments of meat products from Canada weighing 774 tonnes, 26 consignments from Argentina weighing 688 tonnes, 14 batches from Brazil weighing 375 tonnes and six consignments from Paraguay weighing 164 tonnes did not have the correct veterinary certificates and that they had come from production plants that did not have veterinary approval.

A further 167 tonnes of meat products were also seized in the Moscow region - 20 tonnes coming from Canada and 147 tonnes from the USA, because the consignments also breeched the veterinary regulations.
