The campaign officially kicked off on 11 February with a thirty-second spot that will air in at least 160 dental surgeries across the UK, and will reach an estimated audience of over 1.3 million throughout 2008.

Dr. Judith Bryans, Director of The Dairy Council, said: "We are very excited about this campaign, as it will help to educate consumers on how milk and cheese can benefit their overall dental health. These dairy products contain calcium and phosphorus, which are important for the growth, development and health of teeth.

"With regards to dental health itself, milk is one of the few drinks that are safe to have between meals, and a small piece of hard cheese chewed on its own after meals can actually help reduce the risk of tooth decay."

To launch the campaign, The Dairy Council partnered up with Bristol-based Intentor Media Platforms, a specialist in providing digital media systems and networks across the UK health sector.

The 30 second spot, which can be viewed at www.milk.co.uk, was created Topright Design Limited, a Surrey-based creative design agency.
