KSFY spoke with the USDA Monday to see where they are in their investigation.

After numerous attempts to contact the usda tonight, they would not talk over the phone, but did release statements regarding their investigation. They say it will be over week before schools have a final decision. We warn you the video is disturbing.

Questionable meat has been taken off the shelves and put on hold in schools across South Dakota.

"The concern is not focusing on food-bourse illness at this time. It is just on the treatment of animals," said Sandra Kangas with Children and Adult Nutrition Services in Pierre.

It all stems from an investigation by the humane society into a questionable meat packing plant in chino, california... The disturbing video has launched the usda into action.
