The landmark figure has been reached after just nine months of trading following a 17 year absence from international markets.

In all eleven breeds, including Holstein, Limousin, Charolais, Aberdeen Angus and Dexter, have been sold in nine countries with Poland being the UK's biggest customer so far.

Jean-Pierre Garnier, MLC Export Manager, said: "It is obvious there is a big potential market for our top breeding animals and that breeders are keen to improve their herds with our beef and dairy cattle.
