Russia says No to Polish meat
RUSSIA - The European commission and the Russian Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision have failed to reach the agreement on resumption of Polish animal and plant products deliveries to Russia. In the course of two days' talks the Russian party requested additional information on the results of the inspections conducted in Poland. The relevant information is due to be provided during the next two weeks.
November 2005 Russia banned meat and vegetable deliveries from Poland, since the Russian services suspected the country of re-exporting these products from veterinary dangerous states. Poland in its turn vetoed the talks on new agreement between Russia and the European Commission at the Summit in Helsinki.
