Southern Alberta mayors to visit Washington state on mad cow issues

CALGARY - Three mayors from hard-hit cattle country in southern Alberta plan to visit Washington state later this week to discuss mad cow trade issues.
"We think this issue has been lost on the radar screen in the United States," Lethbridge Mayor Bob Tarleck said Monday. "It's not dealt with extensively now and I think we need to raise (awareness) of that whole issue."
