BSE risk increases with 'cow clocking'

UK - Meat potentially infected with BSE is entering the food chain because some farmers are lying about the age of their cattle, vets and trading standards officers have warned. The British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) has called for tighter regulations to prevent “cow clocking†— named after the practice of turning back the mileage on a second-hand car.
