Premier to push border opening

CANADA - As Prime Minister Paul Martin heads west today with a hefty chunk of cash for hard-hit cattle producers, Alberta's premier will be in Washington pressing the Americans to reopen the border to live Canadian cattle. From a farm near Picture Butte in southern Alberta, Martin is slated to announce a farm aid package worth nearly $1 billion.
