Netherlands reports BSE case

THE NETHERLANDS - A 12-year-old cow infected with mad cow disease was recently detected on a Dutch farm just before being slaughtered, the Agriculture Ministry announced Monday. The case is the year's fourth and brings to 75 the number of cases of mad cow disease since the first ill cow was detected in March 1997 in the Netherlands.
