Consigned from Northern Ireland breeder Dermot Small's Strathearn herd, the 2005-bred Pendle Australia has won a fistful of awards with David and Mary Cormack, who have shown him throughout the show season from their base at Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Australia is by Blue Stone Union Jack and out of a Philipper De Remichampagne dam. He stood junior male champion at the Royal and Royal Highland shows. Buyer was J Lewis & Son of Presteigne, Powys.

Judge Danny Wyllie gave the championship to the imported bull Tympan Du Pont De Messe, from the Seygorry herd of Co Londonderry breeder Sam Milliken - one of many Northern Ireland breeders to earn high prices. Mr Milliken's champion is by Rocky Du Pont De Messe and made 5800gns to R McKelvey of Lockerbie.
