The English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) sponsored exhibition will feature companies involved in butchery, meat processing, packaging and labelling, together with cool storage and transport.

“An increasing number of livestock farmers are diversifying by adding value to their home reared meat, for example by attending farmer’s markets, introducing a farm shop or simply selling boxed meat at the farm gate,” explains Nick Everington, chief executive of the event’s organiser, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers.

“We are aware that these farmers will require a set of skills and resources if they are to succeed, ranging from knowledge of meat cuts and preparation to branding and marketing, as well as access to chiller units and slaughter house facilities. With support from EBLEX, we are pleased to introduce Meatmakers to the event which offers comprehensive technical, business and financial information for the entire UK ruminant sector.”
