Cattle trade finely balanced
In week ended 15 October, deadweight cattle prices generally levelled. At 32,000 head, AHDB estimates suggest that the number of cattle processed was up 500 head on the week, possibly taking the edge off trade a little. The GB prime cattle average price was back almost a penny on the week earlier at 350.3p.kg. It has now lost over 4p in the past fortnight.
