Usage of Milk by Dairies in England & Wales – January 2016
The key results for January 2016 are given below:
- 875 million litres of milk was used by dairies, a 5.0% decrease on December 2015 and a 2.3% decrease on January 2015.
- Of the milk used, 50% was used for liquid milk production, 23% for cheese production and 2.5% was used for butter production.
