Stability in the cattle trade ends abruptly
In week ended 5 December the stability in the cattle trade came to an end. At 341.8p/kg the GB average dropped 2p on the week earlier.
Reports suggest that as Christmas draws nearer the balance in the trade has tipped into processors’ favour, particularly given that AHDB estimates suggest that overall the number of cattle coming forward was down 800 head on the week earlier.
