Cattle trade close to equilibrium
The fine balance between supply and demand has continued in the week ended 7 November, as the market appears to be close to finding an equilibrium. The overall prime cattle price of 343.5p/kg was up by less than a penny on the week, close to where it was two weeks ago, despite an increase in estimated prime cattle slaughterings.
