UK Animal Feed Statistics - July 2015
Key points
- Animal feed production was up 2.4% for poultry and 4.2% for pigs in July 2015 compared to July 2014. Cattle feed was down 1.8% and sheep feed down 16%.
- 7.9% more wheat was used to produce animal feed in July 2015 than July 2014 and 22.5% less barley.
- July is the first month of the new crop year, which runs from July 2015 to June 2016.
