GB Animal Feed Statistical Notice - Review of September 2012
The latest national statistics on GB Animal Feed produced by Defra were released on 13th November 2012 according
to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Key points:
- In September 2012 the total GB retail production of animal feed was up 1.1% compared with September 2011
- In September 2012 the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was up 0.5% compared with September 2011
- In September 2012 the total GB integrated feed production was up 1.8% compared with September 2011
- For the period July to September 2012 quarterly average prices of animal feedingstuffs were the following:-
Cattle and calf feed - £232 per Tonne
Pig feed - £268 per Tonne
Poultry feed - £280 per Tonne
Sheep feed - £234 per Tonne
