This was announced yesterday by the Reputation Institute, which analyses the reputation of the Netherlands' largest companies every year.

To this end, it examines the emotional bond that stakeholders have with a company, how they assess companies rationally and what behavioural intentions this leads to, such as making recommendations or buying and wanting to work at a company.

FrieslandCampina owes its rising position partly to consistent communication about its strategy and sustainability initiatives.

The list is dominated by high-tech companies. DSM is the highest climber in the rankings and climbed nine positions. This can largely be explained by the innovative power of DSM and its high-tech products.
