Turkey’s veterinary services and Brazil’s ministry of agriculture have completed negotiations of an International Animal Health Certificate for fattening cattle.

The move opens up a market that imported 50,000 head of cattle in 2014 for Brazil's cattle sector.

Brazil shipped over 646,000 cattle grossing $675 million with over half a million (79 per cent) heading to nearby Venezuela.

Significant shipments also went to Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.
