Almost 1000 head of cattle have been tested in the Mapuche community, Araucania, by Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) technicians.

Cattle vendors were experiencing difficulty in selling cattle due to brucellosis precautions.

Leader and spokesperson for the Mariano Lleubul community, Rosa Cuminao said: "It is very important to us that the government support the rural sector.

"We made this request with the community leaders to help our farmers because they had complications to sell their animals.”
