GANACOR is to be responsible for applying the diagnostic field tests required to provide certification of farms free of bovine TB in cattle and other susceptible animals.

The test is also required for the movement of animals and participation in fairs exhibition and auction of cattle.

"This authorization system intended to recognise the technical competence and suitability of individuals or corporations in the pursuit of activities related to the protection of agricultural production, taking into account the requirements set out by the ICA, "said General Manager of ICA, Luis Humberto Martinez Lacouture.

Córdoba is central to the testing and monitoring as it is one of the main livestock departments with the potential to be a major producer and exporter.

Córdoba has 35 certified tuberculosis free districts and nearly 1,900,000 cattle.
