The economic benefits of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) could amount to over 100 billion euros, the Italian Dairy Association (ASSOLATTE) announced last week.

Estimates forecast similar returns for the US, to come from the creation of ‘thousands’ of new jobs.

For this reason, Assolatte has urged negotiators on both sides of the Atlantic to persevere with TTIP talks due to the extent of business that could come from a trade treaty.

Assolatte added that US consumers are aware of Italian dairy goods and that Italians are confident of Italian branding making a mark in the US market.
