Dutch and Chinese Discuss Dairy Collaboration

CHINA – The Netherlands will assist China in meeting dairyfoods standards and quality targets, a Dutch dairy leader announced this week at a royal reception.

Cees’ t Hart, Dutch Dairy Association President and Friesland Campina chief executive officer committed to a collaborative programme with Chinese producers, dairies and researchers at a function attended by King Willem Alxeander and Queen Maxima.

Addressing Chinese President Xi Jingping, Mr Hart said: “As a result of population growth and increasing wealth, China will continue its dairy product demand.

“Close collaboration with Chinese farmers, dairies, and science and research institutions provides great opportunities for the Dutch dairy sector in the short and long term,” he added.

His speech included an account of Netherland’s dairying being ‘among the best in the world’.

China’s 1.3 billion people can be satisfied by dutch exports and knowledge, he concluded.
