Daily Dairy Trading: Class III Posts Losses, Wednesday.

US – Class III Milk posted losses yesterday, with November down one cent and a ten cent drop reported for December contracts.

Downward action left values on $18.80 and $17.77 respectively as November futures stayed at Tuesday’s levels. The exception was Whey which edged higher after recent losses.

Butter continued at $1.5300, as did Nonfat Dry Milk on $1.8873, says the Agriculture Marketing Service at the US Department of Agriculture. 

Spot markets saw little activity. Two bids saw Butter at $1.6500, the steady price this week, and two batches of Cheddar blocks traded at $1.8200 - the week’s value.

However, one offer saw Barrel prices drop one cent to $1.9650.

Both standards of Nonfat Dry Milk remained tied on $1.9650, which has been the case since Tuesday.This is ahead the November futures price of $1.8873.
