The ruling comes under Under Resolution No. 4,319 said the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG).

This measure is complementary to the provisions of Resolution No. 1,628, by which individual identification was established for all cattle to be moved in the country.

The SAG is aware that to have all cattle traceable is a task that will take years, which is why it is essential to begin now.

Certifying complete traceability of animals, from the moment of birth, is essential for Chile if it is to become a significant exporter of bovine products, in addition to the many health reasons to support the need for its existence.
