Daily Dairy Trading: Active Market Lifts Non-fat Dry Milk09 August 2013
US - Non-fat dry milk lifted a cent to see Grade A standard reach $1.7925 after three trades yesterday.
NDM has remained largely static for several weeks. Extra grade has sat unchanged on $1.7300 since the penultimate week of July.
Butter also moved after one bid and one trade. Rising 2 cents, it closed on $1.4000 on Thursday.
No movement was seen elsewhere. Cheese Blocks and Barrells held equal values at the last trade of $1.7925.
Class III Milk futures closed higher for August up four cents to $18.16. Class IV finished a week fixed to $19.35.
August Cheese rose a cent to $1.7890 while Whey edged higher to $0.5850. Butter continued its slide for the week, finishing the day on $1.4463, almost four cents below Monday's conclusion.
