Tracking System For Imported Beef Launched

SOUTH KOREA - South Korea have introduced a tracking system for imported beef this week in an effort to protect consumer rights and provide safe beef products in the domestic market.

According to the Yonhap News Agency the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said that the system, which became effective on Wednesday (22 December), calls on importers and distributors to notify consumers of the county of origin, packing date, shelf life and names of all companies involved in the meat processing and shipment chain.
