SK Free of FMD; Pork Exports to Resume
SOUTH KOREA - South Korea will seek to resume exports of pork as the country has been declared free of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) that affects all cloven-hoofed animals such as pigs and cows, the government said Tuesday.The Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) gave South Korea FMD-free status as of 27 September.
