SK Free of FMD; Pork Exports to Resume

SOUTH KOREA - South Korea will seek to resume exports of pork as the country has been declared free of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) that affects all cloven-hoofed animals such as pigs and cows, the government said Tuesday.

The Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) gave South Korea FMD-free status as of 27 September.
