Print This Page Bulgarian Company Stake Buy-Out in Meggle Dairy
BULGARIA - Bulgaria’s Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) has given permission to Bulgaria’s MJ Pack trading company to buy the “half share” of Germany’s Meggle food producer in the two companies’ joint dairy venture, Meggle MJ, according to SeeNews.The CPC said that neither of the two companies has a dominant position in the markets for cheese, yellow cheese, butter and milk production and retail. In 2006, MJ Pack said that Meggle MJ would change its name to MyDay, the brand under which the company distributes its products on the Bulgarian market.
Meggle MJ was expected to start exporting its products to other European Union states at the start of this year. Meggle MJ produces milk, milk drinks and a range of dairy products.
